"The social activities at UCSS in collaboration with International Fund for Social Projects aim to develop methodologies for assessing Himalayan social development Projects in Himalayan region to facilitate local people through strategic planning and development. As a core activity of the project, initiative has taken to develop a regional social development systems database using relational and interactive database design by combining tools of database software. My responsibilities include compilation, management and application of the database dealing with various data-types to account water supply systems of the region. With my previous experience as a software developer, I have found the present work to be interesting, challenging and rewarding, which has also provided an opportunity learn new skills. UCSS is a center of excellence, which provides a fascinating working environment to people from different disciplines and socio-cultural background." |
