"The Himalayan region of Nepal is a unique eco region on our earth. UCSS has advanced an Eco regional Approach and endeavored to develop tools and methodologies for assessing complex, diverse and unique agricultural systems in the region under an eco regional framework, by which it can promote priority setting and eco regional benchmarks for searching cost-effective measures for disseminating information, knowledge, principles, and technologies in the entire Himalayan region. This is what I have been working on and it is very challenging and interesting. As I was professionally trained by UCSS through a fellowship provided for Nepalese, it has been encouraging working at UCSS, particularly on the Eco regional Fund Project, which focusing on developing tools and a 'toolbox' fro assessing agricultural systems and assisting agricultural development and planning in Himalayan region" |
